Don't underestimate this little powerhouse

I've been a network/systems administrator since the days of dial-up connection. I've been building my own PCs since the days of the IBM PC-Compatible ((c)1988 or so for all larks). The last one I built was an AMD FX6300 Hexa-Core 32GB/2TB/GTX1060ti. I'm a Unix guy, whatever difference that makes. I use Linux in most places including these two machines. I almost never turn on an AMD machine again except to keep it up to date. If I'm not using Steam servers I don't really need it; Raspi 8GB is my daily driver. The Raspi 4GB has been my daily driver for a year. Plug in a keyboard, mouse, and a bit of memory, and you've got a serious little Linux desktop that drives two monitors over HDMI and silently takes the place of a few decks. cards and consumes around 15 watts of power at its peak. This AMD box: 750W. If you can live without Windows on your desktop (like Microsoft does), or if you prefer to be without Windows for as long as possible, like me, then you should seriously consider what kind of system you can build. around these small SoCs. I have just over $100 in my current setup. I use it all the time and it just keeps delivering. I just can't praise him enough.
