I bought this tire valve core removal tool to use on propane tanks. If the propane cylinder is empty, the Schrader valve must be removed so that the empty cylinder can be disposed of. This device did not work at first. I drilled the valve core stem hole deeper on my drill press and then it worked. You decide whether you need to do this or not. The device would probably work great for bicycle tires.
