When I opened them for the first time, I noticed that the wood wasn't very smooth. It feels like you could get a splinter if you run your fingers over it. Although it looks nice. I've only used it once and followed the instructions to wash and dry it properly. I realized that since the box is fixed, it is inconvenient to wash it, since you need to make sure that everything in it is dry. But cheese knives are really good. All in all not the best quality and I'll be glad if it takes a year before splinters stick out.
