The fuse holder on my first adapter failed because the spring in the fuse holder was installed between the conductor and the fuse, ie it conducted electricity and was not designed for it. So my spring got hot and melted the fuse box. If you look at the attached photos you can see where the spring melted through the side of the case. Then there's a photo of the other power wire from the 2nd adapter assembled correctly where the spring doesn't bridge between the fuse and the wire so it's not responsible for wiring 7A or so to power that adapter take care of. If your fuse assembly is identical to mine, it will get hot, melt and possibly start a fire. So unscrew the body of the fuse, make sure the spring is properly behind the copper conductor and NOT between the conductor and the fuse. Fuse box somewhere not touched as it overheats and melts mine dissolved in my carpet when it went out and could start a fire. Also know that it worked fine while only drawing a few amps, as soon as I connected 2 things to it the spring got hot and failed.
