I tried several electric grinders before I found this one. I often need to grind LARGE amounts of pepper for steak au poivre or other purposes. Most grinders are too slow or too weak and only good for sprinkling some pepper on the dining table. This sucker crushes a huge pile of peppers in an instant. Overall it's great, but I have a few issues with it. First, the button you press at the top is flush with the cap that comes off to add the pepper, and the cap is very tight around it. Putting the cap back on often enough pressure on the button to activate it - sometimes LATER. I was about to go to bed one day when I heard this strange noise coming from the kitchen and when I went exploring I found a pepper mill sitting on a pile of ground paprika and humming on its own with an empty chamber! Another issue is that the peppercorn chamber is quite small and needs to be refilled frequently, which can be a good thing given the first issue.
