The shaver is beautiful and reliable. I like that the long handle comes down to the calf and the butterfly mechanism is easy to use and doesn't come off while shaving. It easily survived one of my cats who decided to throw it off the counter. If you're interested in trying a safety razor, this is a good option, especially for less than $15. However, if you get this and have never used a safety razor before, you should also buy a sample kit of different brands of double-edged razor blades to find one that works with your skin. I have found that the Dorco blades that come with this razor give me the most annoying shave I have ever had. Luckily, safety razors can be used with any brand of double-edged blade, so it didn't take me long to find blades that worked for me, and then a blade that I really like. In short, if you're new to safety razors, this is a good choice, but take a sample in the same order.
