I bought this coat for an upcoming trip where I knew it was going to be cold. I have just returned from a ten day trip and this has been my constant companion the whole time. When I was in my 30s it was mostly easy and I walked the whole street for hours. I was hot warm and never had any complaints. And the hood is just right. And all critical bags turned into an unexpected bonus! I didn't have to carry a bag. Some were inside and fastened with zippers. One more comment: I'm a size 14 and XL fits better than L. I love this coat!
