Review on 🎙️ Olympus DS-2400 Voice Recorder for Efficient Dictation (142015) by Gabriel Day

This is a great voice recorder for dictation. The button layout is perfect and the override and add features are just what you would expect. It made the transition from my favorite Lanier microcassette recorder to a digital recorder very easy. Initially, I was bothered by negative reviews that complained that the files were recorded in Olympus' proprietary DS2 format. They are, but the software that came with the voice recorder allows you to convert the file to a WAV file simply by selecting "File" and then "Convert Dictation". Once the file is in WAV format, almost any transcription program will play it. There is no need to buy a copy of the transcription software.
