This is a small heater (height wise). It only stands as tall as our TV console. This will not take up much space on your floor. It will sure look cute and cozy in a bedroom. The "fire” is bright and fun with lots of pinks and purple. IT is not an orange-y ember type fire. It was really cool to watch this little heater while we had a cold nor'easter blow all around us. It does ocellate on its pedestal so you will need to keep it clear from anything in its turning area. You can set the thermostat to AutoStart if it gets really cold or whatnot. The remote is also really handy. I didn't really think that it was doing all that much but I had it in our large living room, and I stepped out, and when I came back in you could feel it was a few degrees warmer in the living room than the rest of the house. Perfect little heater.
