Our basement is the only place we have to endure the bad summer weather, but it's stuffy—uncomfortable and uncomfortable. The smaller dehumidifiers fill up too quickly to be practical, but this one has quite a large tank for such a small machine! The ability to attach a drain hose was the main reason for the choice. It's a little shorter than we'd like, but being able to leave the humidifier on indefinitely is incredibly handy.
