THIS IS PERFECTION. The curved lines of the teapot are aesthetically pleasing, and the enticing tea brewed within is even more pleasing to the eye. Disassembling for cleaning is easy: just place your thumb on the rod in the center of the strainer and slide it aside; it will pop right out. 17 oz. The size is great if you like drinking from the standard 12 oz. mugs like me The handle is well positioned and large, making the kettle easy to carry, and there are small feet at the bottom of the kettle to protect surfaces from heat. Finally, I can't believe how handy and awesome the filter feature is! When I use it, people crowd around me in amazement. A subtle detail that I only noticed when using the kettle was the condensate trap on the lid. If you brew tea with the lid closed, condensation will form on the underside of the lid. Then, when you open the lid by pressing the lid lever with your thumb, the condensate flows down the lid to your hand. However, there is a small plastic strip on the inside next to the lid hinge that catches water and directs it back into the kettle. There are smart people in the world, let me tell you.
