In the picture it looks like it's aluminum that has been anodized but it looks more like a mix of rubber and silicon not exactly one or the other , but both, it also just slides onto the watch and comes off easily, when I got mine it was folded and the weird material it was made of kept its fold shape, it didn't lay right, I wore it all the time five minutes and by the ton expensive watch making it look very cheap with almost no protection because it is not properly shaped and holds the fold it came with and tears very easily and is impossible to hold.
