Review on Magic Sliders L P 4225 4 Pack Round Sliders, 7/8"-1" Diameter, 1 Pack, White and Black by Jamal Gerrero

My old Windsor chairs have nailed metal feet that make an unpleasant squeak when dragged across the hardwood floor. Since I couldn't get the metal pads off, I tried covering them with peel and stick pads. Despite the improvement, they were still scraping the ground. I decided to try these and they are great. They're small black rubber baskets with a stretchy top that fits over a chair leg and the gray part is a plastic pad that sits on the floor. My chairs have 7/8 diameter tapered legs at the bottom. As others have said, it takes a bit of effort to install these push pieces, but by the second chair I had the technique mastered. Mine had to be adjusted a bit after installation as the bottom of the chair leg is not flat or level. Now my chairs glide smoothly across the floor like silk. They seem very reliable but if they don't hold up over time I'll use some sticky glue in the cup because I can't imagine I could find anything better. My chairs are black, so they are very inconspicuous. The packaging shows a photo of the same glider in a lighter color.
