This code reader is not fancy and has all the data you need for each and every problem. but it will diagnose the simplest of problems with your engine. So far I've used it to get a code that turned off my check engine light. I've never trusted mechanics or sales people at car dealerships, it helps a lot to have your own reader. The code I pulled out indicated a decompression in my gas tank i.e. a loose gas cap or a bad gasket. I also used it to disable the windshield washer sensor. it has been reading the fluid level for years but has always been full. The sensor was bad and the beep when I start my truck was driving me crazy. Luckily he's gone now. If you're good at car maintenance and know how to use a code reader, this is great on the budget. It includes the most popular cars in its archive, so there's little chance your make and model won't be there unless it's newer than 2020. Many new models don't appear in the catalogue. The only problem with this is that they add or change components from model to model. That being said, most codes will still pull.
