Review on Gates 41187 Water Pump by Mike Hernandez
Leaking immediately after installation
I am a dedicated user of all Gates parts and have never had any problems with belts, hoses, pumps etc before. manufactured by Gates. That's how it was before this beauty, immediately after I started the engine, flowed out from under the crankcase. I'm very careful installing all the parts (especially when the damn thing is right in the middle of the engine and I had to remove everything but the spare tire in the back to get this thing out), unfortunately it leaked, wasted $40 coolant and 4 hours my time. I pray the next Gates water pump doesn't do that.
