Easy to fit - exchange so all holes were already there. The existing magnetic switch also worked, so it did not have to be replaced at this point. A bit pricey but I wouldn't want to go back to the old retractable steps. Every time you use them, it's like magic. The new ones also have more corrosion-resistant cable connections than the old ones, so should hold up well. Btw, the old tiers were 24 years old so these new ones should outlive me if they last that long.
