Review on SOOYEAH Isobutane Canister Function Backpacking by Jeffrey Connel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well has good instructions some limitations

When it arrived I tried it out passing gas from one Lindal valve canister to another and from a cheaper butane canister to Lindal valve canister canisters. Everything worked smoothly and the instructions seemed pretty complete and easy to follow. The explanation for why you might be fueling with the more expensive isobutane/propane mix (works much better in near-zero temperatures) was sketchy, but it was there. The corresponding safety instructions (do not overfill, etc.) were included and should be followed exactly. (It doesn't cost much to save a few bucks for tanks and blow yourself up in the process.) One part is included here, butane. Adapter SY-0311, it looks like it should work to adapt the Lindal canister stove to work with butane bottles. This is possible with SOME ovens. It doesn't work on my Optimus vega because part of the stove mount couldn't be screwed in far enough that it wouldn't leak. This may apply to other ovens as well, but another canister oven I tried worked fine. But it worked fine with the other part of the fuel transfer valve as described in the description. So this kit is all you need to consolidate a partially empty canister, fill smaller canisters from larger ones that cost less per unit of fuel, or fill up with much cheaper (but more limited) butane. That's what I wanted and I recommend it.
