gets the job done camping and hiking

Just received this and used it immediately to refill 3 canisters. First, I refrigerated the intake canisters. The process was quick and easy. I weighed the cans to make sure I was pouring the right amount. I haven't tried the butane gas connection. Overall a good product. I recommend it if you want to refill canisters. Use with caution.

    A must for frequent campers

A friend told me about this device and how he finally got rid of a bunch of almost empty camping gas canisters. I tested it last night and combined 8 cans to 1 and now I have a full can for my next trip. It definitely helps to put the receiving canister in the freezer for a while to get gas out of the other canister more easily. Also, once you've collected as much as you can, be sure to use the purge valve to remove the small amount left in the empty canister.

Saves money and trips on rocket fuel canisters

I have several of these mini camp stoves and burners for our scout squad. We have used cannes piercing tools in the past to be able to smooth them out as they take up quite a bit of space after use and we want them to be recycled properly. With this cool device, I can now take butane from the large canisters in the club's warehouse and fill those canisters even if the adapters don't fit. This little device, which comes in a nice zipped protective case, converts from a store-bought large jar to…

While there are cheaper versions, I love the fact that this one comes with an adapter (although I haven't had to use one yet) and that it comes in a handy carry case Hopefully I lose it not in my big camping basket. The instructions are clear, the valve is easy to use and looks well built. I managed to combine gas from 4-5 almost empty canisters into one canister. It took several attempts as I had to freeze the host jar multiple times to ensure I could get every last drop of gas out of the…

Works well has good instructions some limitations

When it arrived I tried it out passing gas from one Lindal valve canister to another and from a cheaper butane canister to Lindal valve canister canisters. Everything worked smoothly and the instructions seemed pretty complete and easy to follow. The explanation for why you might be fueling with the more expensive isobutane/propane mix (works much better in near-zero temperatures) was sketchy, but it was there. The corresponding safety instructions (do not overfill, etc.) were included and…
