Review on REVLON 2-in-1 Hot Air 💇 Brush with Volumizer and Hair Dryer, Black by Annie Thornton

After reading the rave reviews of this thing on Buzzfeed and other sites, I've argued about buying it at least 3 times. By debate, I mean every time I read the reviews, look at the review photos, and hold my finger over the add to cart button. I'm sorry I did it. First let me say my hair sucks. That's a very healthy bastard. It is very thin and straight, thick and shiny. No product in this world or the next works to make it ruffle. I've tried every idea there is. I've had pros try to get it frizzy. I've tried different styling products in different orders at different times. Wet or dry. night or high temperature. Wavy, curved, curled, sprayed, gelled, tousled, YOU NAME IT. My hair stays straight. Why did I order this? Well after lots of feedback I thought if my hair dried with a slight curl at the ends maybe the combination of heat and dryer would give it that amazing look that so many others are sporting. This would be an improvement over the straight look I rock day in and day out and I'd finally have a little win in style. I bought it in the Black Friday Sale because adventures don't have to cost a fortune. I watched YouTube tutorials on how to use it. Many of them. I read success stories with smiling pictures. I was done when the box finally arrived. But no, I wasn't ready at all. This product was terrible for my hair. First, my hair didn't get any volume at the ends at all. No one. My hair fell out of the curlers and dried out. I kept it in the form of a nice curl. Steam came out of the dryer. The hair was still dry. maximum volume maybe? No, blow drying upside down is better than that, my hair has almost no volume on top when I use it. All of my fine baby hair is tousled in all directions resulting in a fluffy chicken. Is there something redeeming in it? Trust me no one wants to think they are throwing the money out the window, I was dying to use it for *something*. Also as a normal hair dryer. But no sir it won't even work because this product does something to my hair by making it dry and tangled at the ends. I don't know what, it's like the boar bristles are sucking the moisture out of my hair and suddenly my hair, which I've never had to brush before, becomes a sticky mess at the bottom. I had high hopes. I kept trying, thinking maybe I just needed practice. No, I don't need practice, I need a miracle. Right now my hair stays straighter than ever. For those of you foolish enough to wonder how you keep your hair looking this healthy, let me put my curse on you: I only wash it once every two days, taking care of the roots and ends Treat generously with a "strengthening" conditioner. And now there is no hope. To everyone else who is calling this product a miracle: genuinely happy for you. May your hair always be great.
