I'll start by saying the picture quality on the monitor is fantastic and if you only want to use it for PC or Mac then this monitor is for you. I bought it as a dual function monitor; Business by day, games by night. If you're just using a PC or Mac, everything works fine. However, if you're using a console (PS5, Xbox, etc.) that only supports HDMI output, you won't be able to take advantage of the higher refresh rate that this monitor also sells and promises. All HDMI connections are limited to 75Hz/FPS, but in my experience I can only get 60Hz/FPS on this monitor, even with the new HDMI 2.1 cables. Given its price of $1,600 and HDMI 2.1 has been around since 2017, I would expect this monitor to come standard with HDMI 2.1. I admit that I should have checked this before buying this monitor, but they do NOT make it obvious to the consumer. If you search the LG page, including the specs page for this monitor, the port version is not mentioned anywhere. Only after you download the user manual, you will see different refresh rates depending on the input port. For this reason I hesitate to call false advertising but I think the marketing and branding for this monitor is very misleading. at least. Also, given the lack of this functionality, the cost of the monitor doesn't justify the price in my opinion.
