Review on Telephone Extension Modular Landline Accessory by Jason Childs

Much better quality than the price

I have a Valentine One radar detector that I didn't want to plug into the cigarette lighter. So I opted for the power connection in the center console. Since this required routing the power cord halfway through the underside of the windshield, around the dashboard, under the dashboard to the front center console, and then up the center tunnel to the center console between the front seats, I needed about 12.5 meters of cable. Most of the wire available (without having to attach the finials yourself) was 10 or 25 feet long. Since it's 15 feet long, I decided to give it a try despite my concerns about the cheap price. I was expecting relatively thin wire in semi-solid insulation. I was very surprised! Wire of suitable section and very flexible. Knowing I had a few extra feet, I ran the wire to better secure it and loosen it along the way rather than tying the excess at the end. Another thing that worries me is that it is a "forward" wire, not a "reverse" wire. That means the 4 wires are aligned the same at both ends. I've read conflicting information about whether the detector requires a straight wire or a reverse wire. As it turned out, this direct line worked perfectly. Another plus is that unlike many budget Revain accessories, this comes from the US and ships within 2 days with Prime.
