Review on 🌬️ Friedrich Chill Premier 8000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner with WiFi, White by Abdul Jorge

Small Air Conditioner. It was easier to install than other heavy 8000 BTU AC units. Not the quietest AC, but better than some that don't advertise quiet. Summer is not hot yet, so I can't fully test it yet. The WiFi setup was tricky as the instructions in the manual were wrong. Once you understand that you should be looking at the AC screen and not the remote's LCD screen like the manual says, things become easy. The app is good and gives you full access from home and beyond using your carrier's data plan. There is no monthly subscription. You can add more members to your family so they can also control the air conditioner with the app. However, the instructions are very confusing and I couldn't add my wife. In Alexa, install the Friedrich Go skill app and then connect to your AC. Just make sure you have the Friedrich Go app set up on your phone and connected to AC, then correctly named AC before connecting to Alexa. One downside I noticed was that the electrical cord exits the bottom of the unit. It's not a deal breaker, I just don't like that the electrical cord is pressurized as shown in the picture. Also, I can hear this little noise coming from the device which you can hear from the video I posted in the 10th second of the video. Update: This noise goes away after a while. I wish they had added a backlight to the remote control so I don't have to turn on the light to change the temperature. Oh wait, it's 2019, I can either use the app on my phone or tell Alexa or Google Assistant to do it without opening my eyes. So far this unit has been cooling my master bedroom and large bathroom quickly. It's very cool and effective. I wanted to deduct 1 star but after feeling how well and quickly it cooled my room I was pleased. The maximum cooling capacity is: 661 for those interested. And you can turn off all the lights in the air conditioner so your eyes don't hurt at night. Since it's 661 watts, the AC doesn't cool down as quickly as the larger ACs. It also means that you cannot use this device in the kitchen. July update: This device is no longer cooling. I called Friedrich and they told me to dial a few numbers. After all, none of them want to fix the air conditioner.
