It smells very strongly of lemon to me. I had no trouble applying it to my legs and arms. It wiped off easily after about 10 minutes. However, after about 2 days I noticed that the hair grew back quite quickly. Keep in mind that although depilatory creams like these use chemicals to burn hair, they are still somewhat ineffective for maintaining smooth, hair-free skin over a long period of time. I would say it's a little more comfortable for me than shaving as I'm the type of person who gets razor burn on my legs easily. I definitely didn't feel any burning, maybe a little tingling, but nothing major.
