All went well although it was _extremely_ difficult to get the last screw through the floorboard into the base of the "apartment". I didn't realize how small it was until I assembled it - apartments can be problematic for our 16 lb cat. "Maybe" because he's still in hiding and it might be days before he gets up the courage to try. But this is normal, in the end he will be happy to lie on it, scratch and hide mice around the apartment. The reason it only gets 4 stars is that when properly assembled there is a lump in the bed. I've checked the instructions 3 times - you need to make sure you're putting the correct post on top as one post has a shorter built in screw than the other. But even with the short bolt on top, according to the instructions, there's still a small dent in the bed. Another column coming out of the apartment has no block. The only reason is poor quality control. In general, I'm happy with it, but this lump really shouldn't be.
