If you're not willing to manually disable the sensor yourself, don't do it unless you live in a cave or a very dark, windowless basement. It's a shame, because it has a nice, even light and you can't see the individual LEDs. I put it in a dark closet with no light coming through at all and it won't turn on during the day if there's light in the room, but even more shockingly it turns on at night with the windows closed and the blinds down because the low voltage bulb in the whole room was on. Useless. The only time I could turn it on was in a dark garage.
