It was great for our almost 2 week Rd. Travel with our cats. We put it on the floor behind the seat and we could zip it up every night when we got to our accommodation. A few helpful tips from someone who liked it but needed to learn how to use it; Some dirt will get caught in the seams, so it's a good idea to put a garbage bag underneath and simply tape the garbage bag to the mat for easy cleaning at your destination. Also, it's not very durable (that makes sense...it's foldable...) so we usually just tuck something like satin underneath when transporting it from the car to Airbnb to wear indoors. Although you can definitely use pens. Costs money!
