I listen to audio books with these headphones. They actually have more low-end emphasis than I expected, but they're great for what I use them for. I've read the comments... and at $2 a pair I'm not sure what people are expecting. Everything seems to be fine with me. No frills (no extra tip, just medium size). They fit my ears, so if one pair bites the dust I'll be sure to tug on the tips and save them in case one gets lost from the other pair. I guess I probably have earplugs that fit in my e-waste bin (I regularly save earplugs for when young ones die). I'm not worried about the durability as I only listen to books with one receiver in one ear. I end up buying new headphones every few years. I bet I get the same amount of them too. If one ear fails with any headphones I just pop in the other and fold up the old one and if it breaks I grab a new pair from my desk drawer. I roll an earbud and tie it to the splitter casing and it holds it in place so it doesn't dangle. I would definitely consider that if we had kids using phones. At $2 a pair, this is more than a good deal.
