I put on the supplied glove and tried it on my hair on the second day. (That is, I washed it the day before and it had some product from yesterday in it.) My hair is very fine and naturally curly, but since it was the second day's hair, it wasn't as curly as usual. Anyway, following the directions, I picked up a small clump of hair near my face, placed it in the brush brush side up, and then just pulled it down to my chin. I saw results on the first pass! I tried again on the same part of the hair and this time it was even smoother. I continued this all over my head and was very pleased with the results. I then tried bringing back some of the curl to frame the face. It says nothing about curling, but the included booklet does. I again picked up some hair with the brush and then twisted it the way I wanted it to curl and held it for a few seconds. It worked after a few tries, but when I say it worked, I mean it had a little curl in it. Not enough and not the result I was looking for. I used this 3 times, all on the second day of the hair. It doesn't work for me but it straightens my hair perfectly. The instructions state that you should not use any flammable products on your hair before using this flat iron. I sprayed some heat protectant on my hair and let it dry completely before curling. This brush gets very hot so I used the glove that came with it. If you touch the skin anywhere, it will burn. I style my hair before I get dressed, and when I parted my hair to straighten it, I wasn't paying attention and the brush touched my bare stomach. Now I have a good burn there. Please be CAREFUL, wear the glove provided and be very vigilant when using this comb. I cannot call this product a burn that was solely my fault. This brush is great for my fine, curly hair and I am very happy with the result! I would buy this product again if something happened to him.
