Let's be honest, I love Sketchers. I've been wearing this brand for over ten years. When they came out I thought they were great. The first thing that caught my eye was the design on the sole of the shoe. It's not a typical design, think long thick grooves running across it and as you walk it will literally pick up any pebble, stone, hard berry or really anything that fits between the grooves on the ground, including a fairly large one Steins, who made my step hesitate. After a few minutes of walking, I was laden with pebbles. I found myself stopping every few feet to shake out the pebbles stuck to the bottom. . Second is the shoe itself, and I'm not sure if it's because of the air stage, but both shoes make a clicking noise when walking. It's like the air bubble is causing the sole to make a sucking/clicking sound. It's actually annoying when you go to a quiet place like an office or school. It is so loud. I'm a normal weight so I don't hit a 300 pound boot with every step. The shoes themselves are comfortable, but those two flaws were enough to make them my least favorite sketchers. Of course, whoever came up with the design of the sole of these shoes never goes where pebbles, stones and objects accidentally hit the road. If you plan to walk a lot in an area close to nature or really roads with random rocks I would suggest other shoes as you will stop to pick up rocks otherwise it is uncomfortable to walk in them.
