Happened twice (broken after first use). We ordered a replacement after this happened to my husband who luckily didn't lose his pair but I was unlucky and a broken strap resulted in my pair falling in the river. Both times we were very careful with it and never pulled the strings too hard. The strap fell out of the handle for no reason. The actual purpose of this strap was to keep my sunglasses from getting lost and it achieved exactly the opposite. Don't buy a holder like this, the sleek look isn't worth losing a pair of perfectly working (and expensive) sunglasses!
