Habotest (IntendVision) HT208D Digital Clamp Meter BOTTOM: Rugged, professional true RMS field meter with autoranging and all the features you need at a great price. I always like measuring devices that come in a case. It has a semi-soft case that leaves room for other things like another set of test leads. The counter has a premium feel and feels solid in my hand. The buttons have a nice feel and the main function switch positively locks in any position. The display is two-tone, clear, easy to read and informative. I noticed that the display can become blurry at certain angles. I've found that the best viewing angle is on the left side of the meter (which is where I'm looking anyway); this provides an optimal viewing angle. My only downside to this meter is that there is no leading zero suppression on the display. Because of the incredible value and features of this tool, it is not an obstacle. Features: The meter has an LED display that illuminates the clamping area when a button is pressed. Next to this display on the back is a slot that allows you to hang the meter on a strap. The meter can register the starting current, which is very useful, especially when you are servicing motors. In-Rush is available for both 1000A and 60/600A ranges. The min/max function is very useful when you need to monitor voltage fluctuations and want to know what max/min is. The function is used to "zero" the counter so that you can read positive and negative deviations from this "zero" point (no more calculations!) Low-impedance voltage mode for suppressing measurement interference voltages. Frequency and duty cycle over a wide frequency range. Show Hold feature. The large opening clamp allows reading small currents or large currents up to 1000 amps. The NCV mode is the most sensitive and insightful I've found. This is a very useful non-contact tension tool. I spent quite a bit of time testing all the ranges and specs and found the meter's accuracy and range to be excellent for this long list of readings (including resistance, capacitance, and diodes). Features are packed. The Revain ads show all the features and specs and this ad appears to be accurate. The included manual is small enough to fit in your pocket, easy to read and covers all functions. Includes a set of high quality test leads, 20 gauge, 80 degrees Celsius, 2000 volt soft wire. Recommended.
