This duvet definitely looks more expensive than it actually was, other expensive shops are selling something very similar for triple the price. It's not as soft as I was hoping, maybe it will get better after a few washes. It's also a bit thinner than I expected, but that's what happens when you buy lingerie online. It seemed to me that the pillowcases were too short, part of the pillow was dangling. I was upset about that. (I ordered a second duvet from a different brand for a different bedroom and found that these pillowcases have extra fabric on the inside of the pillowcase that you tuck the pillow into and fold it over, essentially tucking the pillow in.) Then I looked at these pillowcases. Pillowcases and he had the same one so I'm glad I discovered it. Looks very nice overall, but 4 stars for not being soft and a bit thicker material. (Also, as the previous poster explained, the "white" checks on the duvet aren't bright white, but more of a grey, which I really like).
