Review on Ninja K52015 Foodi NeverDull 15 Piece Premium Knife System with Wood Series Block, German Stainless Steel, Built-in Sharpener – Stainless Steel/Walnut by Russ Freeman

After having used a very basic set of kitchen knives for the past 30 years, this is a serious upgrade.With the Ninja brand I already assumed they would be good quality, and after receiving them, I am not at all disappointed. The attention to detail in the design of the knives, the holder, even the packaging, is very impressive. I also really love the integrated knife sharpener, which looks like it is going to work much better than the 50+ year old hand held sharpener I have been using (LOL). I also really like that the wood look that should blend well with my countertop and other fixtures (though I wish the knives themselves also had wooden handles).From a sharpness standpoint, these are almost frighteningly sharp straight out of the box and I slightly sliced my finger just running it across one of them to see how sharp they were -- so be careful! Compared to my old knives, there is simply no comparison in this respect -- these outclass my old ones totally.The only thing the verdict is still out on is how well I am going to like the steak knives. Up to now, I have always had serrated steak knives, which are all getting quite dull, and, being serrated, you really can't sharpen them. So, I am hopeful I am going to like these new non-serrated ones, which can be sharpened quite easily. I'll know more once I eat my next steak! So far though, I am quite impressed with these!They definitely aren't cheap, but the quality speaks for itself.
