2nd update - after a few months of use (didn't even stop using it over a month ago) I have to report that this duvet is cheap and of poor quality. It's good for the summer, but that's about it. After washing it became so flat and thin that I stopped using it. It was a waste of money. Don't buy this! UPDATE: I've been using this duvet for several nights now and have to amend my previous review. This duvet is not the quality I am used to. It is not as warm as my other duvet alternatives that I have used for many years. It's much, much thinner with a completely different filling. This would only be great in warm weather as detailed in the listing. I was wrong. Only buy this if you have warm winters. It's great for that. I think I will send it back because I need something warmer. Not what I expected based on other alternative microfiber blankets I've been using for about 14 years. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have dogs that often fall asleep on my king bed. They all shed. I put one of these blankets on the bed and then drape a flat sheet over it. I change the top sheet every few days, wash it and put on a new one. The duvet should then be washed about every three weeks. These blankets are very easy to wash. Simply wash them in the washing machine on a warm setting without fabric softener (microfiber) on a gentle setting. Then I partially dry them on low and hang dry if possible. If there is no way to hang it up then I just tumble dry it completely. I have three of these different colors so I always have a new one ready to put on my bed and I can change the color of my room just by using a different colored comforter. These are very warm! I live in Virginia and with my heated mattress topper it's warm enough here all winter. It also reduced our heating bills somewhat. This is the best system and blanket I have found for living with dogs in my bed. It took a lot of trial and error with duvet covers and comforters to finally get it right! Rzhunimagu! It works. Makes my life so much easier and keeps my bed clean and fresh. These blankets are made from durable microfiber and will stand up to repeated use. Holds up much better than cotton and other synthetic fabrics. If you don't have a heated mattress topper (my whole family has them and loves them), put an extra sheet under the comforter and unless you live in a very, very cold place you'll probably be warm enough. I leave my mattress topper low most of the winter. If you've never had one and have dogs in your bed, you should try one of these awesome blankets. Many colors to choose from. Very smooth and smooth as opposed to a lumpy comforter. I love these blankets! They are also a great price from Revain. I highly recommend this blanket. It will last for years!
