I bought this cable because I decided it was a good time to ditch the modem/router combo my ISP provided and switch my modem and router to one to a new place that would give better coverage in my home without having to buy a repeater, needless to say I ran the cable where I wanted and in fact coincidentally on the same day my ISP's tech came out for some of the problems that I had with my modem/router. Needless to say, as soon as he saw the cable he told me that the gold plated end wasn't really preferred for coaxial cable and had to be replaced with a nickel plated cable, which I think he could have done for me in time. I had in mine. All in all the cable itself gave me no problems before the tech came and brought this issue to my attention so everything seems fine and works great I think.
