I really like this kit. I got it to learn how to sew and hem my own dresses and it looks like it has all the tools I need! He also has many threads. Much cheaper and easier than buying everything separately. Also, the cover is very nice. But there are small problems: - my set is missing a thimble, but that's okay because I didn't plan to use it anyway - the fabric pen doesn't leave a mark on the fabric. It's basically just a regular colored pencil - as other reviews have mentioned, there was dirt and hair on the scissors. Pretty nasty, but I just washed them. Other reviews also mentioned that the thread is difficult to find, but in my case the ends were just tucked in. I cut notches in each plastic spool to make it easier to find the end of the thread.
