Review on Gates 7340 V Belt by Matthew Blustein

I got a heavy duty alternator from LC Engineering and in the process replaced all the belts. But the OEM size is actually barely too long, and it's very hard to keep it from squeaking. I did a little research and it's the same belt just an inch shorter. The belt is long enough to slip on, but when tensioned there is about 3/4 to 1/2 inch of adjustment left on the alternator bracket. If you have a 22RE and a small pulley, give it a try! I finally got a belt that stops squeaking every time the electric fan is turned on in the morning.
