Great concept but ridiculously far from the real world. I tried it with a Samsung Galaxy S9+, both with and without a case. The results were anything but spectacular. I don't really like leaving my phone unprotected, but I really need both wireless charging and a magnetic base for my truck, this fits the bill. Not so fast, fat man. Panel montage is poor, mostly in Chinese with minimally mixed broken English and a few low-resolution charts for good measure. It's not hard to figure out which is which. Ironically, I think they spent more time on the how-to page than on product research and development. I was distracted. So after you've placed the small parts where they should be, a quick check shows that it's charging. Hooray. I put the phone back in the case and try again. Nothing. Not only does it not charge anything, magnets are no longer supported. Brilliant. It's time to play around a bit. I cut a huge gaping hole in my otter's back and tried again. After a few taps and wiggles, my phone takes control. Then it stops after ten seconds for no apparent reason. So it looks like any number of cases are undesirable here. Good to know. I'll try again without the lid. A win, but not really. It reconnects but only works as a slow charger. So it doesn't seem to work as a charger, maybe just a magnetic stand? Not very good. If the angle is greater than 30Β°, the magnets will fail and my phone will fall.
