Review on AV Access Extender Operating Synchronously by Ryan Hoover

I love this product and what it does.

I love this product and what it does. But after installing it, I found a few oddities. Problem #1. It seems VERY sensitive to the length of the USB cable connected to the device's transmitter. This has been discontinued for some front views for live church services. I set up a transmitter/receiver pair that worked fine when I plugged my Logitech C920 directly into one of the USB ports. However, my setup required the camera to be placed about 15 feet away from the transmitter via a USB cable. It worked, but only intermittently. The image would flash, then go blank, and eventually the connection would be lost entirely. I thought the device was defective and ended up replacing it. In the end I decided that the extra USB cable wouldn't work and I had to connect the C920 camera directly. This required a redesign of the setup to bring the camera closer to the transmitter. Issue #2 is just a documentation of how connection indicators work. The docs state that a blinking blue light indicates a connection. The part that is not made clear is that this connection occurs when a USB device is plugged in, and not just a CAT6 connection between a transmitter/receiver pair. This CAT6 connection gives a slow pulse (10 seconds) on the blue light until a USB connection is made. This makes troubleshooting a bit more difficult as the device can be up to 50 meters away.
