Good quality device

I've been trying to downgrade from the expensive USB 2.0 extenders I've been using for years to something cheaper. I recently bought a WEme USB extender. which was complete rubbish and didn't work in any configuration. I threw it away after an unsatisfactory encounter with their support team. This device - the U2EX50 - costs a little more than the WEme, but its quality is infinitely better. Rugged metal body (compared to cheap WEme molded plastic). Good solid cable connections. The AV Access…

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

I bought this to use the telescope mount, telescope pointer camera and CCD/CMOS camera for astrophotography while I sit nice and warm inside during the winter months. It runs over 75 feet of shielded Cat5e cable underground alongside two 20A circuits on the same line. Usually no, no, but since there was only one pipe and we didn't dig the terrace. Here it is. This device worked where others couldn't even connect. It's been stable for a few months now and I'm very happy with the amount of…

I ran a 50ft Category 7 Ethernet cable through my walls parallel to the Romex due to restrictions going into the living room and perpendicular to many others in the attic into my office, and I have several games with

He's doing his job

Does exactly what it's supposed to. I have a media center in a closet and a TV in another room. I have an HDMI cable running through walls along with CAT5 for the USB signal. All 4 ports are recognized by Windows, but when I plug in a remote receiver, a keyboard/mouse combo receiver, and an Xbox 360 PC receiver, my desktop shuts down. I think that's because it can draw too much current from a single USB. Since I rarely use the xbox 360 receiver, I can get by with just two devices connected. The

Quality product - great value for money!

I had high hopes for this USB extender. 2 months worked perfectly. until today 11.05.19. I turned on my production server and none of my USB devices worked. The device is beautiful, it arrived well packaged, but unfortunately it only lasted 2 months. My Revain returns window closed on 4/15/19 so there is no chance of a refund. Since I don't want to reconfigure all my USB devices, I take the risk of buying the same thing again. Hope the second works. If the second doesn't work, I'll reply and…

I love this product and what it does.

I love this product and what it does. But after installing it, I found a few oddities. Problem #1. It seems VERY sensitive to the length of the USB cable connected to the device's transmitter. This has been discontinued for some front views for live church services. I set up a transmitter/receiver pair that worked fine when I plugged my Logitech C920 directly into one of the USB ports. However, my setup required the camera to be placed about 15 feet away from the transmitter via a USB cable. It

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Security

I've tried several other USB2 expansion devices and this is the first one that works with all of mine. I use it for astrophotography between my home computer and the telescope outside with a 50m CAT7 cable. I had problems with random disconnects, the entire adapter went out for a second, resulting in all USB devices being "disconnected" and "reconnected" within 3 seconds. This obviously caused devastation and destruction. After testing for 3 days and the longest stable connection was 15 hours…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Could get damaged

Product works great as advertised, no issues. Just plug it in and it works instantly on my Mac and PC. Both systems recognized the "USB" camera as soon as it was connected. My only complaint is that when using the camera over a short (20ft) ethernet run (using a Category 6 cable) the video output quality is noticeably worse than using the same camera plugged directly into the computer's USB port . Image quality is still excellent with my 4K USB camera (with Sony CCD chip), however colors are…
