We have a cat with some serious separation anxiety issues & a new couch that we need to protect at all costs seen as we had to buy it because she ruined our last one. Mambe blankets work. Plain & simple. She had a particularly rough week and was peeing on the couch on a daily basis when we were at work or away from home. We use the twin size & sofa size to cover both sides of our oversized sectional and voila! She peed on the blanket, even tried to cover it up leaving little claw lines on the blanket and NOTHING got through to the couch. Small messes we just spot clean with an enzyme cleaner but we have already needed to place the blankets through the wash twice for a deeper clean. We clean them separately and leave them in the dryer for about an hour & a half but haven’t had any problems. Sometimes the edges are still a bit damp coming out of the dryer, but they dry quickly once we lay it out. Mind you, I am using a small apartment washer & dryer, nothing fancy or high tech. Even after a wash, if she goes again, nothing gets through which means nothing is getting into or on our couch. I can’t tell you how much this means to us, it’s been difficult trying to deal with her issues & never could even consider giving her up so having something that helps protect the more expensive potential damages is a life saver. These are worth every penny!
