Review on 🏃 Highly Efficient DIYmall HC SR501 Motion Infrared Arduino for Enhanced Arduino Projects by Philip Berry

I first bought a pre-built 'smart' motion sensor light switch that was WAY too sensitive and couldn't be adjusted. Decided to go the DIY route and buy it. I connected one to a NodeMCU that I set up with Home Assistant using MQTT (along with a simple 'smart' switch with no motion sensor). It's amazing, gives me a lot more control and is cheaper. I get some false alarms, but not as many as with the off-the-shelf device. I suspect it's because it's in a garage and the sensor picks up sunlight/shade coming through gaps in the garage door. In general very happy with the purchase.
