I LOVE this product and recommend it to anyone willing to listen. On undyed hair without a heat seal, the hair chalk washed out in one wash with a regular shampoo but started running down the neck and ears with some sweating. On undyed hair, the hair chalk needed 3 washes (2 days) with normal shampoo when heating (blow drying, not straightening). On dyed blond hair, these bad guys weren't as easy to remove when heated. The blue, pink, green and purple tones held up after a few washes but got softer with each wash. These four colors were used to create Mermaid Hair and it looked AMAZING. Blondes: Half of the set is PERFECT for you and you can use the rest for a less dramatic look. The vibrant glitter colors are AMAZING. The colors are very popular (especially bright blue and pink). The ones I describe as "imperfect" are silver glitter, yellow, and light pink. The silver doesn't look that great, the yellow is a good yellow and the light pink comes into its own but not as dramatically as my blonde daughter would like. Brunettes: Some of the sets are PERFECT for you, you can try other colors but expect less dramatic/bright colors. Light and pastel colors shine through, but bright colors with sparkles don't stand out as much as they do on blonde hair. Last but not least, they didn't irritate my daughter or my VERY sensitive skin.
