The instructions contain several interesting game options. My family plays with alternate rules that require you to add up the ends and score in multiples of five. With regular dominoes, we like to try to stop others from playing. With bendomino, blocking is more dynamic. You can start with four play spots, but because the dominoes are curved, it's possible to block the entire end or just one direction of that end, depending on where the other pieces play. This can limit your opponents' options in the game, but you must be careful not to block yourself and allow for "dead ends". It's easier for kids to play the other standard rule because no points are added and the goal is to come out first. Overall this is a great game, better than the classic dominoes in many ways and good value for money. The parts are well made and very durable. After the game we decided to buy a set for my parents and look forward to the holidays when the four of us can play it.
