It works as expected. If you need a paper filter, you must make your own or use a filled filter. after each use, I think your problem will disappear. at least I have no problems with it. Actually, I prefer to use the batch method and oxo-concentrated cold brew. I bought this to see if I liked the drip method (this method takes about 4 hours). Or whether I liked the batch/concentrated method (like oxo or toddy systems). I personally love the flavor and simplicity of the concentrated method. If pre-made paper filters existed, even as a separate purchase, I would give this one 5 stars. Having to create your own paper filters when you need them is ridiculous.
