This is great because it does what it says on the tin. I wish it was insulated so the heat actually stays inside and probably helps heat up faster. It is a thin plastic that gives off a lot of thermal energy to the surrounding air. Also, the clock will be reset if you lose power even for 1 second. I had to buy a battery for the uninterruptible power supply to keep it always on since I have power outages at least twice a month for just 10 seconds each. Otherwise great and I like it. I highly recommend it but you should turn it on an hour before use as it takes time for the cups to come up to temperature. Especially since it uses very little power, I think around 70 watts or so. Almost normal power consumption of an incandescent lamp.
