They are small and easy to swallow. They are very smooth and don't dissolve in your mouth like some things. It has no discernible taste or smell. I have never taken this supplement before so I can't comment on it compared to any of the competitors but I have used Natrol products in the past and have been happy with it. After using it for a week I really believe it helps and I haven't had any side effects. I take one pill in the morning. My mood got better and more stable, and nothing else that could explain it has changed. Received a bottle of 150 and didn't count them, but I poured a handful to get a general idea and it doesn't look like anything was missing as some of the other reviews mentioned. I would recommend this product to a friend who is looking for an alternative to prescription medication for anxiety and/or depression.
