Review on CarBole Universal 5/16 inch Micro Electric Gasoline Fuel Pump - Reliable 12V, 1-2A, 35GPH, 4-7 P.S.I. by Josh Schaefer

I used this pump on my 1970 VW Beetle and am very satisfied. I have previously replaced the stock mechanical pump with an electric pulse driven pump to solve a vapor lock issue on hot days (the car stalls at intersections due to evaporating fuel in a pump located directly above a hot engine). This pulse driven pump solved the vapor lock problem but had uneven pressure and was causing my car to stutter on straight stretches of road. I decided to try my luck with the CarBole 42S centrifugal pump and was satisfied. My car no longer stutters, which indicates a steady and smooth flow of fuel. Its sound is a bit different: Where my old pulse pump was ticking, it whines softly - not unpleasantly (not even audible on a running machine), just different.
