The guy who is offering this thing must have used half the words in the English dictionary to describe it, to the point that it seems this ordinary rubber mat could be used for anything any everything including for gaskets, DIY, supports, leveling, sealing, bumpers, protection, and abrasion covers. Some of them don’t even make sense to me so my recommendation is that he hire an English translator to help focus on what he is really selling. When I saw it I had one immediate purpose in mind – I have an air fryer oven that gets very hot on the bottom and in fact the manufacturer recommends putting it on a heatproof surface, which of course isn’t very practical for kitchens with non-heatproof countertops. This thing is the exact size and shape of the oven and being silicone it eliminates the fear that my countertops will get scorched, a household task a typical "trivet” could never solve.It also has a second very nice benefit. This particular air fryer has a door that opens and when I shut it the entire oven slides around my counter. The oven gets too hot to hold in place while I shut the door but when I put it on this rubber mat the sliding problem is completely eliminated.I like that this is very thin so it doesn’t add any height to the oven, which could be an issue because of the upper kitchen cabinets.As the maker of this product makes clear you could probably use it for almost anything so don’t be swayed by reviews that didn’t like it because it didn’t work out for their application, I’m sure you can think of dozens of other uses for it.While I wish they could describe their product a little better, I like it and if you have a use for something like this, I recommend it.
