When this key arrived and I went to Batteries Plus Bulbs to program it, unfortunately they were unable to program it and referred me to a locksmith, who they thought they could help. Eventually the locksmith determined that the key had the wrong chip and was therefore not compatible with my Ford Fiesta. The key has batteries in it. But wrong chip. This was especially frustrating as I had already paid for the key cut! Luckily Batteries Plus Bulbs sells these and while the order took about 3 or 3.5 weeks the one I bought from the store was fully functional albeit more expensive.
